Penelope and the Geese workshop

This is my opera (Cheri Magid wrote the libretto) that was supposed to have performances in Mexico City in May, which has now been moved to May 2021.  It's a feminist reinterpretation of the Penelope story from the Odyssey where Penelope gets to sleep with as many people as Odysseus does (and then some!) We are going into the studio next week to record all the instrumentals and Penelope's parts (played by the amazing Hai Ting Chinn.)  We'll be streaming some of what we're doing on our own social media as well as via New Music USA's and Opera America's platforms.  More info as it comes in, but if you want to read about the project you can go here https://www.newmusicusa.org/projects/penelope-and-the-geese/
